Amat al-Razzak Hammed

Dr. Amat al-Razzak Hammed was born in Taiz Governorate and holds a PhD in Philosophy in Education, Curricula and Teaching Methods from Ain Shams University in 1978, the first Yemeni woman in this field.

She was appointed Minister of Social Affairs and Labor three times between 2006 and 2014. She held a number of academic positions, including: Head of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Sana'a University from 1988 to 1990, Head of the Department of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the College of Education, Sana'a University from 1991 to 1993, and she has studies in child education and literature, population education, and women's development.

She was also elected Assistant Secretary-General of the General People's Congress in the Seventh General Conference on February 11, 2006.
