Sarah Eshaq
Director Sarah Eshaq, born in 1984 in Edinburgh, Scotland, returned at an early age to Sana'a where she completed her primary and secondary education before moving to Linlithgow Academy for her secondary studies and then to Edinburgh University, where she obtained a degree in Sociology. She also earned a Master's degree in Directing from the Edinburgh College of Art.
She produced several documentary films, including "Karamat Walls" (No Walls for Dignity), which made it to the final list of the Academy Awards and was screened at over 20 international festivals, winning four international awards. "Karamat Walls" is among the first three Arab documentaries to reach the final list of the Academy Awards, one of the most prestigious global awards.
