Nabila Azim
Singer Nabila Azim was born in the city of Aden and is a pioneer of women's singing in Yemen and the Arabian Peninsula.
She was discovered by the Adeni musician Yahya Maki and appeared on the Adeni scene between 1957 and 1958. Her first songs were "Ya Nasi Hawana", "Yali Ghramk Zada", and "Ana Antha Arabiya".
She was the first Adeni female artist to appear on popular theaters and Aden Radio, and she worked in the first Arab duet with the artist Muhammad Hamshari and the artist Abu Bakr in the song "Ya Zain Befdik Bal'Ain".
She retired from singing early, but she opened the way for many leading female artists at that time, after opening the way for the appearance of Adeni female artists such as Fatima Al-Saghira, Sabah Mansour, and others.
